Why Fast Together?

Fasting is personal, but Scripture also shows us believers seeking God together. Corporate fasting gives the church an opportunity to intentionally turn our attention toward God with a shared purpose.

1. We come together with one focus.

Throughout Acts, we see the early church gathering in unity, prayer, and expectation. Corporate fasting says, “We are setting this time apart together.” We may be many people, but we're intentionally directing our attention toward the same Lord.

2. We position ourselves to listen together.

In Acts 13:2–3, the believers were worshiping and fasting together when the Holy Spirit gave direction. They didn't fast to make God speak. They created intentional space to worship, listen, and respond together.

Remember: There is power in a church family being intentional together. One church. One focus. One purpose.

As we prepare for October 5–9, ask yourself:

What could happen when we all intentionally seek God together? 🙏🏾
